Such a nice fit around the top sides and underneath of the mask. This step is completely optional but if you want the closest fit having a nose wire to fit around the nose is a good idea. Pin on either side of the floral tape and push it upwards to avoid sewing over it. Stitch both end of the tube to prevent the wire from sliding off.
There are also options to make it with elastic or ties. I moved my zig zag to the left side of the foot. Optional cut a 5 6 inch piece of floral wire to create a flexible nose piece. Mold wire to bridge of nose.

The mask will fit your face more closely if you add a flexible nose piece and mold it over your nose. I wanted to add a nose wire to give an even closer fit over the nose and i also wanted to make the mask lining piece with an opening so that i could add a disposable filter in addition to the two layers of fabric. I used a husqvarna viking d foot. If wire starts to rust or poke through cut a small slit on back of mask at one end of the pocket securing the wire.
Optional nose wire piece. Take a 4 inch wire and curl the edges a bit so that they don t poke through the fabric. To add nose wire before making the pleats sew one line 1 4 inch away from one of the long edge approx 5 long and centred. I suggest using a 7 long craft wire couple of twist ties or pipe cleaners but as those are not always available we got creative.
Insert it trough the opening and push it to the top of the mask. Adding the nose wire was not rocket science. Hand stitch opening closed.
